Bubba bubba: Week 33

Unwillingly, DaddyLo and MummyLo took a one-week break from BabyLo.

After 7 and a half month of sleepless nights and endless chores, we flew off to Fiji leaving BabyLo behind with his grandma-s and grandpa.

It was a one-week holiday/Wedding to attend/honeymoon/Anniversary holiday/break from babylo sort of holiday. We have thought of all the excuses just to make ourselves feel better for leaving the poor little fellow behind.

2 days before MummyLo left, BabyLo suddenly was glad to take the bottle as an alternative. At last .... after so many months of pains and troubles .. BabyLo finally took the bottle. It was almost as if he knew what might come next .. but having no Mummy for the whole week, everyone, including MummyLo was very worried how this little one would react.

After lots of love and kisses.. we flew off... half excited about the uninterrupted sleep and the long-lost pleasant dining experience, but at the same time, worried sick about how BabyLo might cope with his separation anxiety.

Poor grandmummymak and grandmummyLo were left to look after him everyday.
Grandmummymak didn't know what to expect... would it be endless nights of crying and food refusal ?

Fiji was hot, humid and very expensive...

Everyone that went on the trip to attend our friend's wedding struggled with money everyday and had to save by eating a maximum of two meals a day. The first meal is home cooked Maggi noodles for breakfast, and the next .. is till night time when we couldn't starve ourselves anymore.

As for BabyLo .. according to grandmummyMak.. he was totally fine, or even better...
It was as if he KNEW what was happening and didn't whinge a bit.
He was doing well with drinking milk formulas, sleeping early and when he wakes up .. he will just play by himself in bed..

Totally amazing ..adaptation is the key to life.

And when I got back from Fiji .. I had to repay the lost time with him. He was three times more clingy than before and literally glued himself to me every waking moment. I guess now that he sees that I am back, he won't easily let go this time.
